This is a great transom that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It has all clear distorted glass in a variety of textures and patterns. There are 8 jewels and the center piece is beveled. The original frame is unpainted but needs to be sanded and refinished. It measures 42 inches wide by 16 tall. It is 2 inches thick. The glass only measures approx. 38 inches by 12 inches. Overall it is in good co ndition. Scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning but will clean up nicely. There are a couple pieces with tight hairlines. The glazing putty could sue a touch up. Look at the pictures carefully. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch. My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time!
