11’4 Tall Arched Stained Glass Window. Agatha’s Catholic Church, Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. This incredible stained glass window was salvaged from a circa 1915 Catholic Church in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. It features vivid stained glass panels set in a solid wood frame. This stunning piece was one of many stained glass windows salvaged from St. Agatha’s Catholic Church as it was prepared for demolition in the Winter of 2016. The circa 1915 stone church was featured on the DiY Network show, “Salvage Dawgs”, [Season six, Episode 13]. Weight & Measurements : Weight: 450 lbs. 136.25H x 6.25D x 90W. Agatha’s Catholic parish was rich in history and stood as an iconic structure in the town of Ellwood for many decades. As membership declined in the late 1900’s, the Pittsburgh Diocese made the decision to merge the two Ellwood City Roman Catholic churches into one. Agatha’s building stayed open, but without regular masses, the 100 year old stone church fell into disrepair due to neglect. On site, Mike Whiteside, owner of Black Dog Salvage, stated, A church means so much to people, and we respect that… The items that we salvage will live on for more than 100 years. The panels of stained Glass are intact, as shown in photos. Each window is missing specific panes: Window 1 is missing the lower corner panes, Window 2 is missing the lower central pane and the lower corner panes, Window 3 is missing the lower corner panes.
